so i have this huge noticable zit on my cheek and i'm afraid to go out in public until it goes away what should i do help!!!How can i get rid of a zit quickly?
You shouldn't squeeze it. It'll become red and make it more obvious. Try applying some zit medication on it (with benzoyl peroxide) using a cotton swab and a little cover up? :)How can i get rid of a zit quickly?
puts some rubbing alcohol on it and it will dry out
Some of the home remedies for zits will work great for your acne. A few work better than others but they all are options you can try to use that are found in your kitchen cabinets. These special home remedies for zits include the following:
1.Dab toothpaste on the zit to help take out swelling and redness. Some individuals say it works for them.
2.Citrus fruit rubbed on the face has been one of the home remedies for zits if you apply the juice directly on the mark. By the following day, the zit should be all but gone, or at least improved. Try adding the citrus juice to some green tea and applying it to the face. Both are good to use separately but great together.
3.Fresh garlic is the one of the home remedies for zits that seems to be the favorite. It takes about four applications a day for the acne to fade. For long term care, it is the best but not so effective for spot treatments.
4.A cut up cucumber mixed with tea tree oil helps not only zits but other skin conditions. It is great for providing you with a healthier and clearer skin tone.
5.Your diet is the key to having a clear complexion. The book, Acne Free in 3 Days is one of the best for guiding you and showing you how to change the foods in your diet to make your acne improve.

I'm studying to be a dermatologist. What you always need in your acne wash is Salicylic Acid. Not very many acne washes have this (surprisingly) except for Clearasil and and Neutrogena. I use Clearasil and it has definitely worked for me and I noticed a difference in just one week. When you start using a new acne wash, it's a good idea to only use it once a day and gradually increase to two or three times a day. You should wash your face before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning and of course whenever you get sweaty (after sports, work, etc.). After you wash your face, wait 5-15 min. before you put anything on your face. The water could still be on your face or in your pores even if it's not visible, so you have to wait for it to dry. Once you've waited, put Benzoyl Peroxide on your face (can be found in Clearasil Creams). The Benzoyl Peroxide will reduce zit size and redness and prevent acne from coming back. Be careful when you use Benzoyl Peroxide because if it gets in your hair, it could bleach the part it touched. The only good part about that is that it will bleach facial hairs and make them not as visible. You also should not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you are going out in the sun. If the sun has contact with the Benzoyl peroxide it could bleach your skin and leave a mark. Do not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you have a sunburn on your face because it will dry out the sunburn and cause pealing. It's best if you use the same brand of products. I do not recommend using toners, astringents, or pads. Exfoliaters are not good for your face unless you have really dry skin. If you don't a lot of dry skin, don't use exfoliaters because it can irritate your acne and cause more acne to appear. Do not pick or pop acne because it will only irritate it and create more acne. Good Luck!!
