Anyone know a good way to prevent an in-grown zit?

I can feel it rising, and it's gonna be ugly. Any tips on how to not let it break through the skin?Anyone know a good way to prevent an in-grown zit?
Put some neosporin cream on it. (get the cream not the ointment, the ointment is too greasy.) Dab a little on it every couple of hours and it should go down without breaking the skin, or at least make it form a head so you can pop it. If you pop it don't do it with dirty hands, make sure your hands are clean and I would put a piece of kleenex over your fingers before you pop it.
