is that true? why?Someone said that using something that is the color green will cancel out the red in a zit?
Green concealer helps cover up the red blemishes exceptionally well because it's the opposite color so it helps mask them better than just throwing some foundation or regular cover up on them. NYC has a cheap green cover up. I use it when it's one of those days you wake up with a monster zit and it's all red around it. After you cover it with green then you apply a thin layer of your regular skin color makeup over it, and it looks good as new.Someone said that using something that is the color green will cancel out the red in a zit?
Kind of. You can't put it on thickly, but there are green makeups intended for this purpose. I think Physician's Formula has one (you can get this brand at Target, Walgreen, places like that). I've never tried it, but the theory is that it will neutralize the red color because it is opposite on the color wheel. You'll probably have to put some skin-colored powder on on top of it to even everything out.
you can get colour correcting concealers/creams which you use under make-up usually, all it is is that the green conceals red spots or blemishes better than regular concealers, im not sure why but they do work but you dont need to apply lots otherwise itll look like a bruise colour lol.
