Acne solutions (that work please) and dealing with zits?

do you know of any good ways to quickly get rid of zits? and prevent them? i've been getting some bad pimples and they get on my nerves and make me feel self conscious. normally i don't really care what people think of how i look, but zits are pretty embarrassing. any home remedies, also? i sometimes get bad outbreaks, they go away after a while, stay gone a while, then i get another bad outbreak, and so on. i'm only thirteen, and i know i'm in for acne, big time! my mom had it, dad had it, almost all of my brothers had it, and im already getting zits! help please if you can!Acne solutions (that work please) and dealing with zits?
This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. these two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON鈥楾 EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored.

Aloe vera helps scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Clearasil, Neutrogena, and proactive are good choices to start if you want a cleanser. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard either, because it can irritate your skin.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water.

Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars.

If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands a full of bacteria and oils.Acne solutions (that work please) and dealing with zits?
If it runs in your family and you've recently started getting them at 13, it's probably hormonal. Honestly, don't waste your money on all of these new skincare solutions. The only thing that is going to work is birth control. Yaz is amazing for clearing your skin. It's the only reason I take the pill.
I read this somewhere but im not sure it works

put toothpaste on them and let it dry
PROACTIV IS THE BEST!!!! im 15 and i have been using proactiv since i was 12
I started getting bad breakouts when I was around 14, so I talked to my doctor, and even though I was young, he suggested I try Ortho-Tri-Cyclen (birth control). The hormones in the pill really help clear up skin. I wasn't a believer, and refused to try the pill until I was in college and wanted it for other reasons, but I wish had started it earlier! My skin is a million times better now! Talk with your doctor or a dermatologist, they'll be able to steer you in the right direction.
Stop popping the pimples and zits. This will only risk encouraging your acne to stay due to inflammation, irritation, and possibly infection. Popping pimples or zits could also leave a nasty scar and will also hurt. Only pop them as a last and desperate resort. If a pimple comes up in a particularly bothersome place, learn how to target a single pimple. And if you're determined to pop, learn how to pop a pimple safely and properly.

Use a mild soap for sensitive skin. It can be designed for acne-prone skin or not, but you will want to treat your skin gently. You do not need harsh antibacterial soap, which can actually make your acne worse.

Remove dead skin cells regularly by exfoliating. Use a gentle scrub with natural exfoliants like ground walnut shells, or use an over-the-counter chemical exfoliant like salicylic acid and glycolic acid. Cocoa butter with ground walnut shell works well, too(It is a face wash.). Remember that over-exfoliating can actually increase the likelihood of acne by irritating the skin. Pat dry, rather than rubbing, since rubbing can cause irritation to the fresh skin you've just revealed.

Use a good toner. Spray onto face or wipe on with a cotton ball and wipe off with a clean, dry cotton ball. This gets rid of excess cleanser and tightens pores. Good, inexpensive choices include plain witch hazel for normal to dry skin, or 3% hydrogen peroxide for oily skin. 70% ethyl rubbing alcohol can also be used for severe oiliness, but it can really dry out your skin and irritate it more. Some toners are medicated, too, and this stage is the best for using a medicated product if you're only going to use one medication. Lemon juice is a good option, too.

Bacteria in pores is one cause of pimples. Reduce the amount of bacteria by using toners containing anti-bacterial agents like alcohol, peroxide and benzalkonium chloride, and by using creams that contain benzoyl peroxide, which kill bacteria as well as cause the skin to regenerate faster.

Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you've gotten your acne cleared up, it's important to continue with the treatment that's working so it does not return.

Understand that if all else fails, contact your GP. They may be able to prescribe specific mild antibiotics that can eliminate acne.

Keep in mind though, that the widespread overuse(taking antibiotics when you really don't need them or for something they don't treat) and misuse(not taking medication for the specified amount of time) of antibiotics has led to the development of multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria. That means that the antibiotics won't work for the things they used to (including your acne).

Keep hair off of your face. If you want to keep your bangs, then consider taking showers regularly or keeping your forehead clean with oil-dabbing cloths / clean tissues / etc.

hope this helps :)
Estee Lauder has some great skin care products. Visit the website if you are interested =)

Don't get products that carry salicylic acid. It dries and peels your face. (Biore, Proactiv. .)

As for home remedies, they really don't work. You'll end up going half way across the country to get some herbal shiat for your face for nothing.
proactive is not good. you want to use an acne solution with NO frangrance in the ingrediants. this is because the frangrance just causes more oils to come and clog the pores. try clinique 3 step solution.. and use it morning and night. but be sure to get it for the type of skin you have. (oily, dry, etc)
