How do you get rid of a huge under-the-skin zit?

I have a huge zit but you cant see it but its there and it hurts sooo bad.

how do i make it go away?

thanks :]How do you get rid of a huge under-the-skin zit?
I used to go to a dermatologist who would inject those big under the skin zits and they would disappear overnight. It was such a relief!! : )

I have a huge zit thats underneath the skin on the side of my nostril, what can i do?

preferrably something that isnt too painful..I have a huge zit thats underneath the skin on the side of my nostril, what can i do?
washing your face with a toner and cleanser will prevent it happening.

But to get rid of it i would use a mild pimple cream but dont use too much.I have a huge zit thats underneath the skin on the side of my nostril, what can i do?
I used to get those all the time, *do not touch it* it will only make it bright red, bigger, and worse.

If you go buy acne medicine gel stuff at the store (the kind where you just put a dab on the zit itself) the process will speed up, if you don't mess with it.

At this stage the only way to get rid of it is to cut it open and squeeze everything out. Even if you manage to get everything out this way, it'll still be red for a while, and it'll turn into a scab. But at least the pimple will be gone :P

If you get those alot...go to a dermatologist. That's what I ended up having to do =
|Ahh, those are the worst... Since it's under the skin, there's no way to actually get it all out without scarring your skin... The best thing to do is to really leave it alone and just continue to cleanse your face as usual. Just don't mess with it, b/c that'll irritate it and make it worse... Sorry, I wish there was a faster way to help ya, but you've just gotta let those kind take their own course of action (unless you want to dig it out and cause scarring on your face)
i had one of those like two years ago. and theres still a dark round scar %26gt;:/ DONT TOUCH IT. until its TOTALLY white. and then after its fully white, you can pop it.

but not until its TOTALLY white. no more red.

it'll be hard. but DONT TOUCH IT.
don't touch it!

there's nothing you can do but wait.

don't try popping it, it will never pop.

just be patient. :/
Dont Touch It Wait Till It Apears Above The Skin. Even Then Dont Touch It. And To The Comment Below She Isnt Helping At All.
use benzoyl peroxide such as clearasil or neutrogena clear pore cleanser/mask.
Cancel all of you weekend plans and hide inside your house
dude, same lol. just pop it with tweezers cuz i know that its in an uncomfortable location lol. good luck. (worked 4 me)
ew.

HELP!!! I have a zit right on the corner of my lip and I need to get rid of it before tomorrow!?

I cannot be seen with this at school!

I am stressing out cause its pretty big!HELP!!! I have a zit right on the corner of my lip and I need to get rid of it before tomorrow!?
TOOTHPASTE. (I'm not kidding.) I used to not believe in this until I read a few beauty magazines recommending it and decided to try it. It works because it dries it out and makes it heal faster. It may not make it COMPLETELY go away but it's what will help you the most, promise.

1. Use a Q-Tip and apply the toothpaste directly on the zit. (You want to dry the zit out NOT the skin around it.)

2. Wait 15-20 before washing it off

3. If I'm desperate, I usually repeat both steps. You should too ;)

Note: You'll most likely feel a burn on the spot. Don't worry, that's completely normal. And, whatever you do don't wash your face before the 15 min. Otherwise it's pointless.HELP!!! I have a zit right on the corner of my lip and I need to get rid of it before tomorrow!?
the clean n clear on the stop acne treatment will get rid of that sucker by tomorro morning!! its works miracles!! or try bloting a pea-sized glob of toothpaste on it for about 20 minutues. n try it again n leave it over night...or...crush two asprin capsules(non liquid type) and use visine RED eye removal drops on top of the crushed asprin and create a paste...rub on the pimple and let it sit for 20 mins.. wash of and repeat in about two hours.
It could be a cold sore.

Go to a store and pick up Abreva, Blistex, or Carmex.

But honestly, it won't go anywhere in less than what... `12 hours? Get some concealer and powder.

OR you could pop it, then put some sacilcylic acid (just get a clean and clear spot treatment) on it so it won't make a scar.
GO TO A PHARMACY AND GET SOME BENZOYL PEROXIDE IN THE ACNE SECTION WORKS GREAT

  • I use liquid fondation. Does that clog my pores and make new zits come up?

I am very good with washing my face, even hot water steaming it and putting spot treatment. Before school, i put on Marry Kay liquid foundation and then powder. Is this the reason why i come home from school and I have new zits popping up? Is there any REALLY GOOD foundations out there that i could try that won't end up doing that, if so what are they?

And what is something i can do differently then putting on foundation to cover my imbarressing acne spots?I use liquid fondation. Does that clog my pores and make new zits come up?
yeah prolly, i dont use it, cause i break out really bad..I use liquid fondation. Does that clog my pores and make new zits come up?
You can use a mineral foundation if liquid foundations made for oily skin aren't working for you. You also want to be careful how you are cleansing your skin. Steaming your skin opens your pores and can cause oil production to increase. You want to use a cleanser that's made for oily skin, such as Proactive, and then use your spot treatment for any breakouts. If your skin isn't healthy, there isn't any makeup out there that will fix it.
The same thing happened to me, I also used mary kay foundation for about a year until I switched to another one; it also made me brake about a lot!

This is what I do now: I use SEPHORA liquid foundation (twenty dollars but worth it), and it is perfect for people who are acne prone. It gives you more of a natural look and covers BETTER than the Mary kay foundation. After I apply the liquid foundation, I use a big makeup brush and lightly add a layer of mineral foundation loose powder.. Maybelline makes a good one and it's not expensive at all; available at all drugstores. The way you cleanse your skin is great, I wouldn't change that at all; I actually cleanse my skin the same way at morning and at night.

hope I helped, like I said; the sephora foundation is quite pricey but it really is worth every penney. There is probably a sephora in your local mall, or you can order it from online also.. it is REALLY good.

hope i helped! good luck. :)
Anything will clog your pores and cause blemishes if you blend it with your fingers. There are more bacteria on your hands than on your feet. Ew, I know. (This is also why dermotologists tell you not to touch your face during the day and not to pick at blemishes). You can try disposable foundation sponges (20 for $1) or try a powder foundation such as CoverGirl Trublend or Maybelline Mineral Powder. They come with brushes you can clean on a regular basis.
the liquid foundation is probably like the basic cause for your zits. so you should stop using that and wash your face every time you do use foundation.

a really great one that i use is called

    COVER GIRL TRUE BLEND MINERALS

its give your face a good look and i have used it for quite a while and i have not gotten zits because of it.

but also don't wear foundation everyday. hope i helped!
I'm pretty sure all make-up clogs up your pores and in the long-term damages your skin in many ways (including premature ageing). If you wear make-up, the best you can do is wash your face as you do and also use spot-cream/face wash etc, or wear less make-up =)

The best thing for spots is to let them breathe - I know it can be embarrassing having them on show, but they go away quicker =) If you suffer from serious acne, then you should see the doctor and they can prescribe you medication for it =)
    all foundation does that,

i think as long as you wash it before bed and before applying makeup you should be fine

zits can also occur from eating too much sugar or if you are on your period..

you can try MAC foundation,, pricy but usually lasts the longest,

if you have a lot of acne then go to your doctor and ask for DIFFERIN its a cream you put on before bed and really helps within two weeks!!!

other than antibiotics drinking lots of water will help clear and hydrate skin
Well I do not know any new foundations for you to try right off the top of my head. But try an all natrual foundation or just a new foundation b/c most likely thats why your getting blemishes b/c its clogging your pores I recommend Estee Lauder it works great for me and i only get zits on rare occassions hope this helps tons LUCK LUCK LUCK =)
first of all you can get rid of just about any zits by getting the right face wash from your doctor, ask your doc for a prescription for xclenia face wash and differing those two used together work extremely well as far as make up i really like smash box foundation it works really well and looks natural
Neutrogena makes a liquid foundation that contains salicylic acid which helps clear your skin, and isn't very expensive. Could be the lotion that you're using is too heavy. You could try something a bit lighter like an oily of olay daily moisturizer?
the same thing happends with me. i just the liquid foundation and it cause my to break out even tho it says hypoallergenic. so i stoped useint it, it still get coverage because i use mineral powder, it's good, dont cause you break out, try it!
    Trublend. Best foundation.

I sleep in it sometimes, and it never makes new zits pop up.

    Stop using that foundation.

    Also use trublend powder.

and wash your face in the morning too.
people think Mary kay is great cuz its expensive but its crap

try somthing oil free by lancome

if u want to pay mulah also dont use mary kay for zits

use clinique spot treatment or get trentoin 000.25 recommended

    by your doctor
get te oil free ones... yes foundation clogs the pors, but you can try and using mousse foundation, its light and not very thick.. and it doesn't gave me acne.. and i forget to wash my face sometimes so hope this helps..
Well, I use to have pimples. I use maybelline mousse and powder and I don't have a problem with zits. Try that. Plus it's prolly cheaper.
use a mineral foundation. liquid always clogged pores no matter how much the company says it doesn't.
go to the dermatologist first of all .....acne is hereditary...u get it frm yo mama and dad ....then buy non-comegenic makeup ...oil free....ur skin eats the liquid makeup casuing new pimples try applying it twice a day washing it off the first time
you should try a liquid foundation that has no oil, most foundation is oil based which can cause acne even though you are trying to prevent it
it really doesnt clog it just depends on your skin type... maybe you are just prone to zits no matter what:( try a really good face wash and drink LOTS of water cuz that helps keep your face clear.
yes liquid fondation will give u zites i use this stuff called beauty control and its oil free and i love it all of their stuff is good i like it
use a mineral foundation as it doesnt clog your pores as much
    water
with the kind of face you have, zits will definitely boost up your beauty.

I have weird little bumps on my cheeks, but they are not zits.?

I have these freakish little bumps on my cheeks. I've had them since I was a little kid, and now I'm 13 and it is ANNOYING! they are just my skin color, not red like zits are. What should I do?? I want them to go away, because I am afraid they will turn into zits sooner or later. Tell me what products will work on my skin. By the way, I have very clear skin with only the occasional pimple. Help please! Thanks in advance!!I have weird little bumps on my cheeks, but they are not zits.?
if you've had them all your life...then they are prob just something from your skin. i don't think they will turn into pimples...bc they prob are not pimples.

just make sure to take care of your skin. meaning...

wash your face with cool water, drink a lot of water and eat healthy...

and that way you will have less problems as you get older.

if you are very concerned about them...i would talk to your parents and see if you can talk to your doctor about it... or a dermatologist. they would know best.

oh, and also...don't scratch them or rub them...that would make them red...and look worse!!!

anyway, hang in there!!! don't let the little things get to you!

    have fun!!!!

    good luck!

    all the best :)

I have weird little bumps on my cheeks, but they are not zits.?
i have a little of those. its prolly just hormones or something.

Do you know any good makeup for pale skin with a few zits than can get reddish easily and is natural looking?

Hey guys! Well I'm a red head and my face is pale but can get red/pink pretty easily. I don't have crazy horrible acne, but I have sensitive skin and always seem to have a few pimples. I want a makeup that looks natural and stays on but don't want to have to have some really thick liquid stuff then a powder on top and all that.... If anyone knows a good makeup thats not to thick but can even out skin and cover up pimples that would be great!! Oh, and like I said im pale, so i need like the lightest shade possible. And I've used Bare Minerals so please don't suggest that. Thanks a million!Do you know any good makeup for pale skin with a few zits than can get reddish easily and is natural looking?

I am a 40yo male with a pimple or possibly zit on my pubic line that won't go away?

I haved popped it several times over the last couple of times but to no avail. Is it an STD?I'm not promiscuous.I am a 40yo male with a pimple or possibly zit on my pubic line that won't go away?
If you have one, take a magnifying mirror and check out the area; you ';might'; have an ingrown hair or a hair growing in the area.

Keep it clean (neosporin or similar antibiotic cream), and shower frequently (1-2 times daily); also change underwear similarly (esp. this time of year). If it persists, talk to doctor.I am a 40yo male with a pimple or possibly zit on my pubic line that won't go away?
Keep it clean and put some Neo-sporin, or some other triple antibiotic) on it. I think you know if your at risk for an STD. If you are, then maybe you should see your doctor.
If there is only one, it couldnt be aids. It isnt a wart right? Other wise that would be hard to pop.

Someone said that using something that is the color green will cancel out the red in a zit?

is that true? why?Someone said that using something that is the color green will cancel out the red in a zit?
Green concealer helps cover up the red blemishes exceptionally well because it's the opposite color so it helps mask them better than just throwing some foundation or regular cover up on them. NYC has a cheap green cover up. I use it when it's one of those days you wake up with a monster zit and it's all red around it. After you cover it with green then you apply a thin layer of your regular skin color makeup over it, and it looks good as new.Someone said that using something that is the color green will cancel out the red in a zit?
Kind of. You can't put it on thickly, but there are green makeups intended for this purpose. I think Physician's Formula has one (you can get this brand at Target, Walgreen, places like that). I've never tried it, but the theory is that it will neutralize the red color because it is opposite on the color wheel. You'll probably have to put some skin-colored powder on on top of it to even everything out.
you can get colour correcting concealers/creams which you use under make-up usually, all it is is that the green conceals red spots or blemishes better than regular concealers, im not sure why but they do work but you dont need to apply lots otherwise itll look like a bruise colour lol.

    http://www.nextag.com/green-concealer/se鈥?/a>

i found this website with some on if your actually going to buy one, its american tho, nt sure if your british or american lol!

    hope that helps :)
what? never heard that before. to cover zits, just use a little concealer or or tinted acne medicine in drugstores
    I've never heard that before.
ive never heard that.hmm... that doesnt make very much sense

What's the fastest way to get rid of a zit?

Add as many as you want.

Please and thank you! %26lt;3What's the fastest way to get rid of a zit?
Don't POP IT ! Then it'll leave a mark on ur face ! There is a Cream called Clear and Clean 4 hours ( they sell it in drug stores and supermarkets). , just apply it and after 4 hours ... TARAAA ! its gone !What's the fastest way to get rid of a zit?
If its just red and doesnt have a white head just put some rubbing alcohol on it to dry it out. If it is white then boil some water and put a hot conpress to it. As hot as you can handle. When is is soft and ready to pop wrap your two index figures and pop it. When all the white stuff is out leave it alone dont make it bleed a lot it will scar. Then rub some witch hazel or some type of astringent over it. Try not to put make up or lotion over it cause the fresh air is the best for it.

    Hope I Helped
Don't touch it or try to pop it! That definitely makes it worse! Don't out any make-up or anything on it either because that will ';suffocate'; it. It clogs that pore even more. Let it breathe and let it stay there. That may seem ';painful'; because you want it to go away asap but trust me you won't have to deal with it longer this way. Also, in the morning and before you go to bed after you wash your face apply Clean %26amp; Clear Maximum Strength Persa-Gel 10. Been using this for about 2 yrs and it has worked miracles!! Hope this helps!
    Do all of this, dude.

Clean and Clear Face cleanser (the stuff is orange, just in case I got the name wrong)

Use that STRICTLY twice a day, morning and night.

    Don't touch your face!!!

Here is the big one: Be a veggie! When I became a vegetarian, my skin immediately got clearer and softer.
oxy works really good for me, use the toner lotion because it covers it up and makes it go away
don't pop it; it just irritates it and makes it worse. i don't have a remedy but i know that's definately not it
    Many things:

    Put toothpaste on it.

    Pop it, then clean it.

There are some products that I really like too:

    Proactive.

Neutrogena Clean and clear. It should be blue, you can find it at Walmart.

    Good luck :)
    toothpaste is for a pimple.

all you can do it waste it and wait.

a zit is different you cant do much for it.
Pop it? That would just make it worse.

And toothpaste will just irritate it. idiot nowadays.

Just leave it be, and wash your face in the morning and before you went to bed.
If it's BAD, i generally pop it, wash it %26amp; then put tooth paste on it.. If it's nothing i'll leave it.

But yeah, it's up to you!
One quick way is to wet a cotton ball, put some salt on it, and rub it over the zit. It may not completely go away but it should help.
well i suggest you use some blue star ointment. that is wat i used when i had a zit and it started to clear away in atleast 2 to three days.
boiling water hold it on there on a cotton Wool pad. it takes down the swelling and redness:)
    Perxoide.
i use neutrogena stuff in the shower that is orange and also on the spot white acne tratment lotion both are great
If you want to buy something for it get differin

    its amazing i swear.

    :)

gets rid of them in a day
eat less especially fat saturated foods
    toothpaste
toothpaste on it overnight!! it works.
Safety Pin and some Brave (TM) pills.
    pop it and wash it
POP IT AND RUB SOME ALCOHOL
    Pop it............
I've heard putting honey on it overnight with a band aid should do the trick
toothpaste will clear it up quickly
    Just don't touch it.
    I dont know
    wash your face
pop it and get out in the sunlight
    pop it

  • Ouch! My skin cleaner made my skin red, blotchy, and full of zits!!?

I used the brand before but not this type and I only used it like 3 times and my chin is soooo bad! The red blotchy parts look like its a rash but it has small pimples all over it. There are other break outs but not like my chin. And it burns. I washed with just regular soap tonight and it still hurts. Is there anything I can do or do I just leave it be?Ouch! My skin cleaner made my skin red, blotchy, and full of zits!!?
Ouch. I would rinse my face with pure warm water only, then splash with cooler water 20 - 30 times! I know it sounds crazy, but it balances the natural ph in your skin and you probably won't feel like you need any moisturizer at all. Things that are soothing for delicate skin are aloe vera, but I would stay away from anything with a fragrance added - pure aloe vera. If you have any Vitamin E capsules in your medicine cabinet, you might try that on a section of your chin to see if the oil takes away the burning. Good luck - hope this helps. Oh and for the future, stay away from products with alcohol and/or lanolin.Ouch! My skin cleaner made my skin red, blotchy, and full of zits!!?
well maybe your not using the right products like clean and clear or Neutrogena skin id and maybe even proactive because all of these products are proven to everyone that they will work and maybe its not the stuff maybe you are causing irritation because you may use it more then once a day and put on too much it can cause you to break out and the same goes with makeup and maybe the stuff will go away naturally because i myself have experienced problems like this and maybe you can see your doctor and he or she can find out what type of problems that you are having with your skin
I had clear skin all my life, except for some pimples here and there. Ever since I started college, I've been getting breakouts. I used to never ever wash my face with soap, only water. I know that sounds gross, but I never got pimples. When I started to use soap, I got pimples. I stopped for a while, but that didn't help. I tried many products, but they all irritated me. I have sensitive skin and so many products caused me to breakout and I get a burning sensation. Especially moisturizer, Oh Lord, I've tried so many and they all broke me out except for Clean %26amp; Clear Morning Glow. For soap, I use an acne treatment bar which is made up of all natural products. It has improved my skin, but I still get an occasional pimple here and there. Nothing like before though. I have never gotten a pimple on my cheek before college, but one I started using the bar, I don't get as much as I used to.

I think you need to find a face wash that is soap free and yes they make them. I think soap may be too harsh for your face. I say for now, just leave chin alone. Don't touch it no matter what because pimples are contagious.
sounds like contact dermatitis, just an allergic reaction. go back to your old cleanser and wash with cool water to help ease the irritation and heat. the oatmeal trick is actually a good one as that does help to sooth irritation. it should clear up shortly since you said your skin is normally clear. just try not to rub it or touch too much until it clears and after washing your face, just pat it dry instead of wiping.

    hope this helps!
Use oatmeal and lukewarm water to calm your skin down.
mine did the same thing, stop using it and possibly go to dermatologist or doctor... or opt for more natural options
it may sound but put toothoaste on it n let it stay on all night
    oatmeal is yummy!

Anyone know a good way to prevent an in-grown zit?

I can feel it rising, and it's gonna be ugly. Any tips on how to not let it break through the skin?Anyone know a good way to prevent an in-grown zit?
Put some neosporin cream on it. (get the cream not the ointment, the ointment is too greasy.) Dab a little on it every couple of hours and it should go down without breaking the skin, or at least make it form a head so you can pop it. If you pop it don't do it with dirty hands, make sure your hands are clean and I would put a piece of kleenex over your fingers before you pop it.

Does anyone know a way to get rid of a zit?

Well, I this one zit that's turning into a... zit and then a zit that's been there for a couple of weeks!

I only get white heads and stuff that you can't see so this is my first time getting a zit ahahah (I'm 14)

I do wash my face a lot, but do any of you know how to get rid of zit's? I'm not sure ahah.Does anyone know a way to get rid of a zit?
When it comes to acne it really isn't just about keeping your skin clean. A lot of it also REALLY comes down to how you eat. Sugary and oily foods, not necessarily fatty and greasy foods, are going to cause acne. Also if you get a decent amount of cardio activity into your life it helps your immune system to fight off acne. Acne is a disease, but a skin disease and it really does clear up itself with your immune system if you take care of yourself.

If your in your adolescent years your body is changing a lot, along with your immune system so just take care of yourself, DO keep your skin clean, don't touch your face, or even let your hair in your face. And the key to a treatment is using something MILD and not too strong unless your get very severe, deep in the pores acne. Go for something for sensitive skin, even if your don't have sensitive skin, because it wont have harsh chemicals in it. They end up damaging skin more than you know. Also if you where make up, splash your face with cold water before you use it to close the pores. Better yet, avoid it until your face is completely clear.Does anyone know a way to get rid of a zit?
The last thing you want to do is pop it. Just use some zit cream.

What's a good makeup that will hide a couple of zits and lighten my dark circles? ?

so I'm looking for an inexpensive makeup (foundation or concealer) that will cover up a couple of red zits and hide my dark circles. it has to look VERY natural so that my mom will let me out of the house with it on. it needs to be harmless or good for my skin cuz idon'tt want just to break out more and it lookreallyy bad whenever i do have makeup on. i herd that just using ANY kind of makeup is harmful to your face but idk. is that true?? thanks!!!!What's a good makeup that will hide a couple of zits and lighten my dark circles? ?
If your looking for a Powder...

Try: Mac Studio Fix powder foundation, 31$, MAC Retail stores. http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>

This stuff is pretty expensive, but it's worth it. When you go and buy a sales rep will help you find the perfect shade to match your skintone, plus it lasts for a long time to. You can use a blush brush, or powder puff to apply it.

If your looking for a Liquid...

Try: CG Smoothers foundation, $8, drugstores. http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a> This is cheaper, but it's not as good as Studio Fix, but i like this product also. Apply it on with a makeup sponge, or you could even just use your hand.

    Hope i helped!

How do you get rid of a HUGE red zit?

ok while trying to get rid of my monster zit... I tried that toothpaste trick thing and it just seemed to make it worse like ten fold. Now it is HUGE and red and hurting like no other. Any suggesstions????How do you get rid of a HUGE red zit?
I'm sorry! I had a problem like this.. well, yesterday.

DO NOT keep scrubbing it, and trying to put a bunch of chemicals on it. The best way to get rid of it quickly is to LEAVE IT ALONE.

I'm dead serious. Don't overwash, or you could cause scarring or make it produce more oils, which means more zits.

Everyone gets zits, so no one is going to start pointing and laughing. Just put on some natural, oil-free makeup that won't clog your pores, and smile. Trust me, people aren't going to make fun of you, because everyone else has zits and imperfections too.How do you get rid of a HUGE red zit?
    Toothpaste
Unfortunately, nothing will make the zit go away fast. Make sure you refrain from popping it, touching it, and putting make-up on it. Make-up may be tempting but it WILL clog the zit up more. If you pop it, it will scar. Trust me, I popped a zit 2 weeks ago and it scarred, then all the oil inside it spread around and made my forehead all oily.

Just wash your face, and wait for it to go away.
Don't irritate it. You can't really do anything to get rid of it except by trying to prevent them by using a daily cleanser.
Try Clean %26amp; Clear, i use it all the time and it works.
mud mask. Queen Helene mint julep masque. same principle as the toothpaste, but actually made specifically for your face, not your teeth!

  • Please Help: How can I get a flawless face, with out zits and those anoying little bumps? What's your regimen?

Mild acne! I have annoying bumps, they're red all around my nose, a little rough on my chin, and one zit on the apple of my cheek

I'm just thirteen and at clinique i'm number #2 so dry combination.

    I want flawless, smooth skin

What products should i use? they can be from sehora to simple drugstore brands?

I want a flawless face, but I don't think proactiv is going to do it cause i know its expensive and when you stop using it you break out

so what are good mild acne cleansers, toners, exfoliators?

I want it as flawless as possible so I can only wear concealer

{Please Answer!}Please Help: How can I get a flawless face, with out zits and those anoying little bumps? What's your regimen?
go to a beauty supply store and get a product called a ';comedown extractor';.... they are like 20-30 bucks and it is the same thing the dermatologist uses to extract black/white heads... never, ever, ever touch them with your fingers

only wash your face 2 or 3 times a day, too many washings will over-dry, in my opinion clinique and mary kay products are the best, but i don't like their 3rd step moisturizers, oil of olay does a better job (the key to beautiful skin is moisturizer, and you must get one that won't clog pores)

use a clay or mud mask once a week (before i use the mud mask i bring a kettle of water to boil and stand in the steam, just far enough back where i barely feel the heat, this opens your pores for a really good cleaning)

also, benzoil peroxide cream is awesome for treating zits.... and its really cheap, i've seen it at the dollar store for a buck... simple to use too, smooth it all over wherever you break out after cleaning your face at night, or use a little extra if you get one big zit.

    my facial regimen-

before bed- wash with clinique step one combo skin soap

    then exfoliate

then use the comedown extractor if i need it

    then benzoil peroxide

when i get ready for work i wash with the soap, exfoliate and then moisturize, then put makeup on

when i get home from work i wash off my makeup with a dove make-up remover

and i never ever ever use any oil based makeups! or any of the long lasting brands, they clog your pores as bad as greasy food!

(also make sure you eat a well balanced diet, drink plenty of water and get plenty of exercise.... trying to live without a lot of stress will also help, so find a few good ways to chill)

also you can see a doc.... tetracycline is an antibiotic that clears up some kinds of acne.... Retin A is a prescription cream that is great for large clogged pores... birth control can clear up larger, cyst-type clogged pores... but all 3 of these have draw-backs.... starting birth control while you are young gives you a bigger chance of getting cancer in your early 30's, with Retin A you can't get in the sun, and tetracycline causes yeast infections, i have tried them all and i think you just have to work out a regimen that works for youPlease Help: How can I get a flawless face, with out zits and those anoying little bumps? Sweetie, I have acne too. I used Proactiv and it didn't work. They say it works for all skin types but it doesn't. One thing is for sure, do NOT pop them. Don't touch your face because it will get dirt and oil in it. Popping them will result in scarring and skin irritation. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about because I have it. A lot of people at my school are telling me false things on what to do about it but they don't know how because they've never had acne in their life! It's not nice to say something to someone with a skin condition when you've never had it, you know? In your case, hang in there. It will clear up. My suggestion is using clean%26amp;clear. But don't use the kind with the exfoliating balls in them because they don't work. Try getting the clean and clear morning burst. I have it and I see major results. I hope I helped!
Acne in girls is caused by excess androgens (male hormones). Using zit zappers like proactive and such are only temporary and superficial fixes for a much deeper issue at hand. I was in the asame situation as you until my doctor presrcibed me birth control pills to clear up my acne. Before the pills I tried every product known to man and none worked, but now I finally have clear skin so get yourself to a doctor honey :)
AcneFree is good for all skin types and it claims to help acne improve within three days. Also it's pretty cheap. I use the one with three bottles in it. Good luck!
Try birth control. I had not so great skin when I was 13 too, and the doctor prescribed me birth control. I haven't had a zit or bumps in 5 years.
I SWEAR by the Apricot Scrub. Seriously, after using it, my skin is as smooth and clear as a baby. =]
The best products are neutrogena. They carry cleansers, toners , exfoliators, moisturizers with spf. Drink lots of water . Go to GNC , and buy vitamin A is good for acne conditions.
Birth control really helped me with my skin and my periods.

I keep getting large sores on my skin that aren't zits and I'm wondering if its bcuz of proactiv.?

Okay I've been using proactiv for around a year and I haven't had any trouble with it. But in the past week it looks almost like my skin has become thin on my face and red sores have sprung up on my face. Theyre not zit and its like a layer of skin was removed from my face in that area leaving it raw and prone to infection. I had a huge one about the size of a penny that got an infection but i put peroxide on it and its starting to heal but soon after I got 3 more. I have no idea what this is being caused by and Ive heard of reactions to proactiv but theyre different from mine and occur early on in use. I've also been warned about Infatago (sp?). Has anyone had a similar problem that could help me out?????I keep getting large sores on my skin that aren't zits and I'm wondering if its bcuz of proactiv.?
I had the same problem when I was on proactiv...At first it worked great, then after about a year i started to get huge sores, they're basically huge zits, your skin got used to the product. I changed what I use and now I use Shiseido's pureness which is perfect for teenagers and young adults with sensitive skin. You can find it in Macy's or any other department store.I keep getting large sores on my skin that aren't zits and I'm wondering if its bcuz of proactiv.?
Every time I use something that irritates my skin, I just stop using everything I put on my skin except some lotion that I know won't irritate my face. It usually goes away in about a week. Sometimes my skin flakes so I have clean, new skin. I hope this helps!

YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST BUT I THINK IS THAT THE PROACTIV IS CAUSING A IRRITATION THAT CAN CAUSE A RASH BUT NO WORRIES JUST GET SOME DESINIDE AND IT BE BETTER IN NO TIME

If it's too expensive then just plant one!

My mom plant one 5 years ago and now it's humongous.

Large White Bumps on my Chin that are NOT pimples or zits?!?!?

I get these hard, very painful white raised bumps on my chin. The first time I tried popping it, thinking it was a pimple. I felt like there was a little tiny hole in the center of the large bump in which maybe pus or acne could come out. Indeed, I finally, after a STRUGGLE, popped it and just a little whiteness and pus came out.

However, the bump on my chin remained raised. It would not go away. I tried popping more of it, although nothing would come out. Eventually, I played with it too much and an entire layer of my skin came off, looking like a huge ugly gremlin, as I like to call it. I put a bandaid on my chin until it healed 1 1/2 weeks later.

Now, I have two raised bumps on my skin and I don't want huge ugly gremlins anymore so I dont try to pop them. However, I still have huge, ugly, painful white bumps on my skin that definitely are not pimples or zits. What is going on? What are these things? How do I treat it?Large White Bumps on my Chin that are NOT pimples or zits?!?!?
my sister had this problem not too long ago. Don't pop them, eventually they'll start bleeding. Try some kind of acne wash containing sacrylic acid.

Ladies - will you pop your husband or signif o's back zits if he can't reach them?

I'm talking both blackheads and full on nasty back zits. And only the ones that he can't reach himself because they are planted in the middle of his back. And - if you do pop them, do you get all cranky and make a big fuss about how much it grosses you out, or do you gladly do it and move on?Ladies - will you pop your husband or signif o's back zits if he can't reach them?
I actually am a picker myself so I drag my husband in the bathroom and pop his he hates it.I know its gross but its a weird thing I have I just pick at things.Ladies - will you pop your husband or signif o's back zits if he can't reach them?
Not to be mean or anything but what a gross question, why would you ask it here?
i don't think i'll ever be with someone who would ever ask me 2 pop his zits 4 him.

What determines acne scars? Should some people just let the zits sit on their face?

My teenage brother in law has this friend and the other day he and I were discussing how his friend needs to pop the huge zits on his face. But then there are a lot of doctors and skin gurus that will tell you not to pop the zits because it could lead to scars.

There are a lot of people I know with acne scars, though. Is this because they popped the zits so hard or just left them there and they left a scar. I would personally not let a zit fester on my skin like that, and I remember when I was a teenager and got my first one and didn't know any better to take care of it, I did have a mark (a small scar) there for a long time. So what is it exactly that causes the scars? Is it because you did or didn't pop? And if it is because the person chose to pop, is it because they did it too hard or picked it too much? What determines acne scars? Should some people just let the zits sit on their face?
Scarring has a lot to do with the genes. People of ethnic backgrounds that tend to have darker skin colors are much more likely to scar, and also Asians. The popping will most likely cause a scar if it is forced too soon. The best way to remove a pimple is to cleanse the face twice daily, and also exfoliate and steam. The pimples will usually pop on their own. If not, steam and use q-tips, gently working them on the sides of the swelling and they will pop. By squeezing too hard, you can spread infection and make the pimple worse. But for the most part, as I said, some people are more prone to scarring than others. When I was in school, a couple of the girls said they had cystic acne and took medication for it. A couple of years later there isn't a single scar on their faces. I personally have a scar for every single zit I've extracted, even if I did it the right way. But that goes for all over. I scar anywhere. Some people are just lucky.

But your friend should probably do something to remove the pus, it isn't doing his skin any good to stay in there like that. But it just needs to be done the proper way.

any help would be awesome thank youuWhat do tea bags actually do to the zit?
Nothing that I know of. I guess it would be the same if you used a hot wash cloth as well. Perhaps to soothe the irritation. What do tea bags actually do to the zit?
Tannic acid will help dry out the skin.

Tannins are astringent, bitter plant polyphenols that either bind and precipitate or shrink proteins. The astringency from the tannins is what causes the dry and puckery feeling in the mouth following the concumption of red wine, strong tea, or an unripened fruit.[1]. The term tannin refers to the use of tannins in tanning animal hides into leather; however, the term is widely applied to any large polyphenolic compound containing sufficient hydroxyls and other suitable groups (such as carboxyls) to form strong complexes with proteins and other macromolecules. Tannins have molecular weights ranging from 500 to over 3,000.[2] Tannins are incompatible with alkalies, gelatin, heavy metals, iron, lime water, metallic salts, strong oxidizing agents and zinc sulfate.
it will suck out the puss

Is there any zit removal remedy that acts quickly?

I have a nasty red zit on my chick and it pokes out!!!!! HELLLPP!!!!Is there any zit removal remedy that acts quickly?
ok. here's what you have to do.

First, put some ice on it. This hurts really bad but about a minute in, you stop feeling it. when your done, let it dry and it will obviously be red from the ice and your skin will be super cold. when it gets back to normal, put eye drops- yes, like redness reducing eye drops. I do this to mine and i'd come to the conclusion after many many uses (and having success with the redness almost completely going away) that if it hasn't surfaced yet, it will probably do that in the next two days. For some reason it speeds it up. But keep it up with the ice like every morning and night. Don't do the ice like 10 minutes before you leave for anywhere though.. B/c it's pretty red, like your nose gets when you go out in the cold for example. Is there any zit removal remedy that acts quickly?
rinse it with alcohol then poke it with a sterile sharp object then pour peroxide on it squeeze it then more peroxide you need to do it in this way to avoide scaring it will hurt but no more then it would if you poped it with the head

How can I get rid of a cystic zit that's been on my chin forever???HELP?

It maybe a cyst and not a zit. If it is long standing surgical excision will remove it permanently. I would have a plastic surgeon do it if you really want it gone. It will result in a scar but a skilled surgeon can give you a minimal scar.

Some cysts respond to injection with steroids, either a dermatologist or plastic surgeon could do this. How can I get rid of a cystic zit that's been on my chin forever???HELP?
I have the same problem that I'm trying to rid of. A few things that helped some were white vinegar mixed with water and applied. Boiled Eclipta and liquid applied - this worked the best I believe. Olay daily regenerating serum has been a help with to especial from scars from past problems.

DianeHow can I get rid of a cystic zit that's been on my chin forever???HELP?
The best way is to see a dermatologist, who might do one or all of the following: give you a topical antibiotic to apply, inject a local antibiotic, inject a steroid like cortisone, give you light therapy, lance the cyst. Any of those things are the fastest way to healing it.
a razor will take it right off
Put warm moist cloth on it. BUT do NOT squeeze it before it is ready...all that will do is make it worse.

Try what my dermatologist had me do when I was a teen...wash your face with tiny bit of Head and Shoulders shampoo on a wash cloth.

Not that I ever heard of. But you know that visine gets the red out of eyes, right? Well, I learned that you can actually put visine on your zit and instead of it being reddish in color, it'll appear pinkish. Couldn't hurt *!*Is there any possible way to lose a zit in less than a day?
Losing it is unlikely, but you can hide it with a concealer. And bad habits can only be broken by self-control.

What are the white dots on my fish? (look like zits)?

My goldfish developed white dots on it. There are about five on it. It looks they're coming out of her scales and have little things coming off of the bump. It's a white dot that looks like a zit but it has red around the edge of the bump. (I don't think it's ich)I just noticed that my other fish has one by it's eye that must have just developed today. Please help me! What could be wrong with my fishes? What are the white dots on my fish? (look like zits)?
It has a disease. What are the white dots on my fish? (look like zits)?
i once had a goldfish who had similar dots, but they were only on his gills, i went to the fish pro and he said its because hes a male.. but i have no idea i would probably go to the petshop or ring the vet
Ooooh Noooo, your fish is sick with what is called ICK! =[

You need to get medicine...its called QuICK Cure. You can get it at any store like Walmart, and its fairly cheap. Follow directions on the bottle.

Also you need to raise the temp of the water to help kill this parasite...bring the temp to around 79 degrees or as high as your fish can handle...

Good Luck and I hope your fish feels better soon! =]
possible worm infestation, check pet store for treatment
sounds like white spots - you will need to get medicine for the fish and treat the tank before the fish dies/infects others
If its a white sand looking dots it Ick.

To solve to problem go to your local fish store, walmart, petsmart or anything. they have Ick treatment. follow the simple instruction on the bottle and your fish will be happy and healthy.

Also for future reference Get a Heater in your tank and raise it to 78 degrees or higher depending if u have tropical fish i would go as high as 80-82. Also get some aquarium salt in your tank. it will help them fight off deseases and help there gill function :).
Ich looks like someone sprinkled your fish with salt. It could be large flakes that look like pretzel salt, or smaller ones that more resemble table salt. If your fish has white bumps on it that are not fuzzy, it is probably ich. Ich is a type of parasite, you can use commercial ich cures such as Rid Ich or QuICK Cure, or use an aquarium salt treatment (Google around for that, too much to go into detail for here.)

If the spots are fuzzy, kind of like someone picked apart a cotton ball and glued it to your fish, then it's a fungus. And you will need to treat him with an antifungal. You can also pick these up from your local fish store or pet store. Try Melafix or again, you could do a treatment with aquarium salt (which again, Google for specifics).

It doesn't sound like ich to me, ich doesn't usually look like a pimple and doesn't usually have red rings. The redness is probably bleeding or some kind of irritation. It sounds like a symtom of columnaris, a common fish condition which can cause skin lesions.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columnaris

Treatment varies for columnaris, but usually you can get a medicated fish food or else treat the water with an antibacterial.

Please do not put a heater in your goldfish tank. Goldfish are a coldwater fish who are happiest around 65-70 degrees.

They say to not pick your face or pop your zits, but...?

I have horrible acne, and loads of scaring. I feel like it keeps spreading, so I try to stop popping the zits...but I just think it's plain embarrassing and disgusting to go out in public with huge white heads growing all over one's face. So, ultimately I break down and take care of them the best way I know how (poking gently open with a pin, pushing down, then disinfecting the area afterwords). I can't use any acne medications due to the fact that I'm pregnant either:(

If I don't pop my zits, they end up so big that even washing my face or laying on my pillow forces them to pus, and then the bacteria is everywhere. Is it better to take care of them before this point, or should i stop popping? Will they really truly heal and go away on their own? They say to not pick your face or pop your zits, but...?
My advice regarding acne and being pregnant.........

Ask your doctor if it is safe to use Clearasil during pregnancy. ONLY USE IF YOUR OB-GYN SAYS IT IS OK TO USE!!! I had a friend who used clearasil ultra and she was pregnant too! I would talk to your doctor about it.. It should be fine to use and it wouldn't hurt the baby (it is not teratogenic). Only use a small pea-sized drop covering your whole face both in the morning and at night. Use this product with Cetaphil moisturizer. This will help your acne a great deal. The moisturizer is great because it doesn't clog pores and is very mild. Excessive drying of your skin can also cause acne, so try to keep mine well moisturized.

One more thing... Purchase PURPOSE bar or PURPOSE CLEANSING PRODUCT...... People with acne have sensitive skin so you need a sensitive cleansing product ONLY!!! this is not a soap.. It will be perfect for your skin. They say to not pick your face or pop your zits, but...?

No try not to pop your zits it can turn into a blackhead just by that little hole you pop in it which will fill with dirt or it will scar. Try washing your pillow every 3 days so you get the dirt and oil that is left on it out. Washing your face with warm water also helps to clean your skin and pull the dirt up.If a white head shows up after washing then your doing good to get the dirt out, then soon the white head with come out on its own. But also try not to touch your face, dont use hair spray by your face, maybe on the top of your head or back? They will heal on their own my friend :)

Change your diet. Less red meat. More fresh vegetables. No soda, major cause of osteoporosis in women and men, soda. No junk food, of any kind, eat fresh fruits for snacks or desserts. Drink only organic fruit juices or make your own. Drink 6 to 8 bottles of pure water every day to flush the toxins from you body and hydrate it too. Walk two miles every day for toned muscles, more energy, more stamina, more vitality and more mental acuity than everyone around you. Do this forever. You will look younger and healthier longer than your peers, who will be begging you to tell them your anti-aging secrets. In the meantime wash, rinse and pat your face and skin dry with a good all-natural herbal soap. Get a large indoor or outdoor weather permitting, aloe vera plant. Every night before bed after washing with the herbal soap, cut off a small piece, peel back the leaf and smear the gel where you want it on your face and skin. Leave on all night. Do this with the diet and exercise until your skin responds favorably.

How do I get rid of this huge zit?

Im a 15 year old girl.My face is very clear, but suddenly a huge zit came up overnight. I have to find a way to get rid of it by Friday night because I am finally meeting my boyfriends parents at dinner.

PLEASE HELP ME ASAPHow do I get rid of this huge zit?
Don't pop it unless it there is a white head. If there is a white head, pop it with q-tips after washing that area with warm water.

Anyways, mix white toothpaste with a drop or two of either rice or apple vinegar for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water. You should notice that the pimple shrunk. If that doesn't work, apply eggs. Mix egg whites and yolk or just use yolk. Apply it on the pimple for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water. That will shrink pimples no matter what. You can throw away the remaining eggs or cook it. If you want to keep it, keep it in the fridge. How do I get rid of this huge zit?
Ok, Take a wash cloth, and wet it with REALLY hot water, this may be hot, depending on how well your ';Ringed it out'; and place it on your face until it gets cold. This should tighten your pores. After that, Take your thumbs and place one each side, and pop it, this hurts a little bit, but only for a second and the wash cloth should help. After the zit is popped put some peroxide on it, and let it sit. When you wake up in the morning, there should be a scab, or completely gone. If its not, it should be gone in time for dinner! Hope this helps!

Neosporin is recommended, poping a zit may leave a scar, never has for me but it is possible.

the guy below me is right, toothpaste sometimes works, but sometimes it doesnt, i suggest mine first, then the toothpaste.
first is your zit a cystic pimple (meaning that it's a bump and it hurts when you press it and you can't see any white puss at the tip)?

if it is a cystic zit, then i urge you not to touch it at all. these take forever to go away and if you don't want it to come back in the same spot, then don't touch it even though it is hard not to.

if there is a white tip, then it's probably not a cystic pimple. first drink copious amounts of water to flush your system of anything that might contribute to the pimple. change your pillow case. try rubbing cucumber slices on it, but it will probably not work as quickly as possible. try steaming your face to open pores.

i can't really offer advice unless you post a pic of the zit, so i can see how severe the pimple is.

whatever you do, do not use TOOTHPASTE. i'm telling you from my experience, it burned my nose and left a scar. however the top layer of the skin peeled off and left my skin sort of smooth, but unless you want to see your bf's parents with a burned nose then DONT.

PS. clean and clear products won't work quick enough. don't use a daily scrubber because you might aggrivate it more. cucumber is really good because it soothes the skin. you can also try other home remedies such as tea tree oil which i've heard works wonders. i would rely more on home remedies right now, in fear that over the counter products might make it worse, especially if you products with other acne products.
well let's see....first go to the store and go by Clean and Clear you can get it anywhere at any store pretty much. Put it on the moment you get it at that one spot...say you put it on now like at 5:00pm than put it on again at 9:00pm AFTER YOU TAKE A SHOWER THE SECOND TIME example....then take a shower and rub your whole face with Dove soup(best soap to use of face) and...then in the morning put on the Cean and Clear again...then at around 1 put it on again....

clean and clear is an acne cream that works fantastic for me, i have clean skin all the time, because of it. ^^

don't pop it, it will leave a scap and most likely leave a scare and might eget infected..it's better not to pop it.
Before you go to bed put a pea sized amount of toothpaste on it (no-one has to know this way), the toothpaste will dry the skin really quickly and all the redness and crap in the spot will be sucked out.

Wash the tootpaste off in the morning and you will see the results for yourself.

Or you could spend money on Clearasil etc but there's no need as the toothpaste trick has worked for centuries.

Give it a go and then you can mark me as the best answer.
alright one way is to of course use some skin lotion or acne solution wipes/spray to help wear the zit down

or you could use my old remedy of toothpaste. just smother toothpaste on the zit at night and when you wake up it should be gone little by little but i warn uif you do this dont let ur face touch hot water the morning after you put toothpaste on ur face or else other huge zits come.
Regularly apply an ice pack to the affected area. It helps to reduce the swelling and redness and shrink the inflammation.

Slice a raw potatoe and rub it on the affected area. The vitamins reduce the redness and breaks down the bacteria causing the acne.

you may want to try something natural since it's less harssh yet effective.
dont pop it inless it turns into a white head

just keep your face clean and put acne cream on it...

    it should go down soon

if you try to pop it and it bleeds then it will turn into a big nasty scab that is worse then a zit.
when ever i get zit i always put this home remedy on it if you would like it i will tell you i get a banana peal and put it on my head for an hour
Get this stuff called daily pore cleanser by clean and clear it works great.
    tea tree oil
    pop it
    1. Do not touch or pop the pimple. It will only make the pimple more obvious and risk infection and scarring. Instead, take up the following routine, twice a day, until it disappears.

    2. Wash your hands thoroughly before you begin to touch your face.

    3. Wash your face gently but thoroughly with a mild, medicated soap and warm water.

    * The water shouldn't feel hot, and lukewarm is a little too cool.

    4. Lemon Juice rubbed on the pimple also helps it dry out faster.

    5. Also, get a washcloth and lay it under hot/ very warm water and put it on your face, to open pores, then rub an ice cube all over your face to close the pores, this helps if you wake up during the night and you find your face to be oily, do this however many times you want.

    6.

    * Do not use a washcloth, as the scrubbing action could pick up and distribute bacteria to other parts of your face. It is best to use your hands.

    * Wash for about 30 seconds.

    7. Pat your skin dry with a towel.

    8. Apply a benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid topical cream on the pimple. If the spot is under the surface of the skin and hurts to the touch, use benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic Acid should work well for all other acne spots.

    9. After topical treatment is dry, apply a basic face moisturizer (preferably allergy-tested, fragrance free, and oil free). Without moisturizing, the skin around the pimple can dry and irritate your skin, possibly making the pimple more inflamed and noticeable. Some contain a mild sunscreen, which is often recommended with some acne washes and medications.

    10. Cover the pimple with medicated concealer (optional).

    11. Learn how to prevent acne in the first place, so that you stop that next monster pimple before it even starts.

    12. Good luck!

    [edit] Tips

    * Wear sunblock (oil-free) when you go out on a sunny day. Since pimples are raw skin, sunburn will only make it worse.

    * Hands off your face! Do not touch or pick at your spot, this will not help it to go away faster.

    * Homeopathic alternatives include tea tree oil, baking soda paste (mix with a little water, apply and let dry), and witchhazel.

    * you should try putting ice on it for like 20 mins to help shrink it or go in a clorine filled pool it will dry out the pimple.

    [edit] Warnings

    * 2.5% to 5% Benzoyl-Peroxide Solutions are sufficient; 10% or higher can irritate the skin and exacerbate the problem.

    * Do not use rubbing alcohol. It will sting like crazy and dry and irritate your skin.

    * Do not cover your pimple with make-up, as this will trap oil and dirt. (unless the make-up is medicated/approved by your doctor)

    * You should cleanse, gently exfoliate, and moisturize your skin twice daily. Go to an expert for a skin consultation to find out what strength of soap and clarifying lotion you should be using for your skin type.

    * Benzoyl-Peroxide Solutions cause drying underneath your first layer of skin which may take away the zits but will leave dry and irritable skin underneath which can lead to itching and possibly may even give you a rash.

How long does red marks/ hyperpigmentation from acne, pimples and zits naturally fade?

i had my red marks and brown marks for a while now

and im currently having ipl session for my acne

and im just wondering how long will it take for it to fade?

does anyone have any experiences with it and how long did it fade completely ?How long does red marks/ hyperpigmentation from acne, pimples and zits naturally fade?
if the discoleration has been around for awhile you could try Scarzone... its a silicone based scar cream that helps with fading... it worked for me!How long does red marks/ hyperpigmentation from acne, pimples and zits naturally fade?
It depends on how new the scars/marks are.

If the marks are like a week old, and you have been properly cleaning and exfoliating your face, it should take about 1-3 months for it to disappear. Your skin naturally peels off dead skin every 26-30 days.

Zits take on averrage like 3 days to heal. But everyone is different.

I have a zit the size of a planet! How to get rid of it, asap?

Omg, i need it gone by tomorrow! Ahh.

Is it possible? Im going to talk to this guy and get his number, so i neeed it gone :PI have a zit the size of a planet! How to get rid of it, asap?
I know this is like, the grossest request on the planet, but can we get a discription? There are different types of zits, and they need to be taken care of in different ways.

-A cyst (a zit under the skin, no white head) needs to be taken care of by applying a strong spot treatment, and once a ';white head'; (it's not a real white head) appears, it can be popped, and will be gone. If you try to pop it before then, it will get inflamed and look worse.

If it has a white head on it, it can simply be popped. I recommend that you get a hot washcloth and lay it on your face to kinda loosen it up first... The easier it comes out, the cleaner it will come out and the less noticeable it will be. dude, that sucks. good luck.

Use cover up!!!I have a zit the size of a planet! How to get rid of it, asap?
Cleansing face wash, plain toothpaste, or that Zeno Zit Zapper.

I suggest doing things in that order if you want it gone. Cleanse the area, then apply PLAIN toothpaste to it so there is no burn or anything. After that, try the Zeno Zit Zapper thing. You hold it up to the zit, press the button, and it makes it go away/get tiny.

Just don't pop it! It will increase redness, could make it worse, and leads to scarring.
    well, haha.

    ASAP.

    lol

    ';asap';

    yes. lets get rid of it ';asap';

    welllll,

    for starters, fooooo.

you can learn to accept that at some point in their life EVERYONE gets zits.

    ORRRR..

you can curl up in a ball and hide under your covers for 48 hours until it goes away!

    works for me;)
first wash your face with hot water( however hot your face can take)

    pop your zit

then after sprinkle a tiny bit of lemon juice and baby powder

then 5 minutes later rinse your face with cold water

dont touch your face it increases oil

also check out your local stores
There is a mud its like mint julble mud. It comes in a green tub. Its only like $3. But you put it on your face/zit and it socks up the zit!!!! And the best part is it gets the redness way down too if not got completely!!!
Get the stripes that you put over like your chin and nose and other places one your face. you leave the stripes on for like 15-20 min. they help me but I forgot the name of them.
pop it then immediately after- put toothpaste on it. or if you have acne cream put that on it. or hydrogen peroxide works too
don't pop it! it'll get infected and swollen, then make it look even worse.

just wash your face, but on some acne medication then use cover up

    Good luck.
you can put toothpaste on it and dry it out over night or you could just put makeup n it
DONT pop it it might get infected

he wouldnt care if you have a pimple coz he probably have one too
windex girl. It's weird but it works.
    lol pop it fast lol.
    try an acne medicine
    Pop it :o
pop it or say mabye do it some other time and tell him he will understand
i use toothpaste once and it cleaned my face

Please HElP ME! okay , i have red hair glasses and zits. HELP MEE!! what should i wear to make me look good?

okay well i have prety nice clothes and i dont use my glasses out in public of course, because that would be stupid so i look prety decent, except i dont know how to put on make up and i dont know how to do my hair, my hair is basically like side bangs and mideum lenght. preety dec. HELP ME WITH TIPSPlease HElP ME! okay , i have red hair glasses and zits. HELP MEE!! what should i wear to make me look good?
For starters, you need to calm down. I don't know why you think people with red hair are ugly. There are many people out there with red hair that are beautiful...so stop beating yourself up. Zits come with age, everyone deals with them at one point or another. Hygeine is important, but not entirely the cause for acne. If it is problematic please refer to a dermatologist who can guide you in eliminating them safely and effectively. By the sound and spelling in your plea you seem to be very young and easily influenced by what others may think of you. You will learn in time it doesn't matter what others think...it matters what YOU THINK. You didn't do the best in describing why you are so desperate in ';looking good.'; So to give you a generalized tip...first, take a shower! If you do well with a blow dryer, try straightening your hair with a comb/brush and medium heat. If you are naturally straight haired, scrunch your hair and use light mousse to keep its hold. This will give your hair a bit of body. Next when applying makeup remember to keep it neutral-especially if you are a rookie at applying it. If you are fair skinned use lighter shades of color. If you have blue eyes use light blue or pink eyeshadow, but keep it light. If you want to go a little more deep use amber or brown tones. Do NOT use red lipstick! There is a wonderful lipgloss by Revlon called ';colorstay overtime sheer';. The color is ';sheer champagne #870.'; This is a beautiful shade that is complementary to most everyone, and will not leave you looking like a mistress of the night. As far as clothing goes, keep it cool and keep it comfortable. Please do not go out looking like a tramp. Women who dress scantilly usually only find themselves in situations where the people around them are looking for one thing alone. Be respectful to yourself, and dress like you have purpose. Jeans always look good! They are versatile, and can match anything! Please wear your glasses. I have a friend who DRIVES without her glasses because she is afraid of looking geeky. Tell that to the police officer after you hit someone where your glasses are. I hope these quick tips may help you! Please HElP ME! okay , i have red hair glasses and zits. HELP MEE!! what should i wear to make me look good?
um okay what was the point of you telling us that you had zits? get some proactiv or wash your face more and maybe that will get rid of them =) and for clothes, you can pretty much wear anything lol maybe a navy blue sweater will look good on you. your hair color doesn't really affect what you can wear haha so just do what you want =] you don't really have to put on make-up to look good. but if you want to start using makeup, just practice when you're home or something. it takes a little getting used to.. and it might look weird or bad at first, but you just have to practice. cuz i have to admit, when i started using makeup, it didnt look very good =P but yeah it's better now. i hope i helped =]

edit-- oh yah if you were wondering which places to shop, then i would suggest these. Forever 21 for cheap stuff.. I dunno why, but I'm picturing American Eagle for you. uhh.. yeah okay. i like nordstrom too, B.P. has nice stuff for like teens.
    See a therapist?! =]
If you look decent you don't need to change anything. You can ask your parents or a friend to tell you how to apply makeup. If this is for a guy or guys they are not right for you if they only look for perfect hair and great clothes. All that matters should be how beautiful you are on the inside!!! My sister has glasses and she was very beautiful before she got them but she still looks like a rockstar!!!

  • What is the best cleaner/ remedy for blackheads and tiny zits?

I'm 13......the age where everyone normally gets zits, but for some reason there are many people that I know who don't have any zits!!!!

I don't have an acne problem, but I just have exploding blackheads and tiny bumps/ pimples on my forehead and on my cheekbones. I need a good cleaner thats not a lot of money!! can anyone help me??? I think I've tried everything. I tried egg white, toothpaste, lemon juice, ect ect... i need something that actually works!

Another reason for my zits is because where I live is very hot, so I get sweaty sometimes and I have bangs.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!What is the best cleaner/ remedy for blackheads and tiny zits?
What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly blackheads / zits.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

    http://www.17acnetreatments.com

    Hope this helps :)

I have a zit is it the ones u can pop with a needle?

I have a zit that is very red on top of my nose pretty big.. but it has no head to it like theres no white dot its just liek skin bulging out and very pain ful to touch is tht popable nd will the redness ware off by tomrmwo if i do pop it ?

I have a zit is it the ones u can pop with a needle?
Don't pop until you get the whitehead!

Wash your hands before and after...and you can even slap a Band-Aid on it. (haha, i totally would but I have Batman Band-Aids, so they're way more fun then regular ones)

Or you can try putting some toothpaste on it tonight and sleep with it on there. It might dry it up.I have a zit is it the ones u can pop with a needle?
Put some toothpaste or face mask on it overnight.

When you wake up wash it with a cutip then get a piece of ice and rub the spot. Wash your hand and rub toner on each finger or wrap two toilet paper peices around them. Make sure the spot is numbed by the ice if not disappeared overnight already. Then pop the pimple until white stuff come out. Don't squeeze too hard.

I have red zit type things on my vagina what does that mean?

Alright well lately i have been getting all these read bumps on my vagina like zit and when i pop them pus comes out, what does that mean? do i have something %26amp; it hurts sometimes and is very itchyI have red zit type things on my vagina what does that mean?
These are probably just what you think they are, pimples and many women are prone to them. Use the same kinds of cleaning products that you would use for acne on your face and reduce the amount of fat in your diet. Trim your genital hair but never shave it because this tends to exacerbate the condition. As you age these pimples will tent ot occur in the same places and can eventually develop into permanent cysts so it is important to minimize them now.I have red zit type things on my vagina what does that mean?
You could have Bartolone Cysts caused by the over production of hormones - they are a Sebaceous cyst: A sebaceous cyst is a rounded swollen area of the skin formed by an abnormal sac of retained excretion (sebum) from the sebaceous follicles.

Go see a Dr and check it out.
you may have genital warts or herpes. you don't have to have sex to get genital warts. i'd get it checked out if it stays.
You sound like you have an infection of some kind. Go to the doctor. Get it checked out. None of us can give you a definite answer, but a doctor can.
I would put some toothpaste on it and atleast it will smell better then
sounds like herpes to me go see a doctor.
Might be genital warts. GO to doctor. And don't touch them
do you shave there? if so, probably just ingrown hairs.

My skin is really oily and I get lots of zits - help!!?

should i wash my face more? or apply creams? My skin is really oily and I get lots of zits - help!!?
my suggestion is to use more gentler products. I used to use harsh products for acne that are all medicated but too much of these medicines are way too harsh for ur skin. One or two is fine though. I鈥檝e used stuff from proactive, acnefree, medicated cleansers, expensive department store stuff like sheseido, differin, duac, etc. none of them worked very well for me. Most of them made my skin worse.

i have oily, acne-prone skin too. and i used to have a scatter of pimples all along my forehead too. but now it stopped and currently i only have two tiny whiteheads on my chin (barely noticeable).

But I have some acne scars on my cheeks and, thank goodness, they are actually fading away in a reasonable pace. i also, have some rough patches on my skin leftover from acne scars but they are becoming as soft as the rest of my skin with help from my skin products.

i tried the neutrogena acne mark fading peel. that didn't do anything for me at all... except maybe exfoliate my skin (and kinda irritated it too cuz my skin turns all red when i wash it away).

bottom line: its expensive and does not work.

i read some people's reviews on it online and it didn't work on them either.

so i stopped using that and started using some new products... and my acne scars are amazingly slowly fading away! i dont noe which product is doing this- it could be all of them!

for the dark marks (acne marks), use AMBI skin lightening cream sold at drugstores, target, walmart, etc. for around $4.99. IMPORTANT: only put the cream DIRECTLY on the scar and the scar only! if u just spread it all over a certain part of ur face, it will turn into a blotchy mess and will take a while for it to return to ur normal skin color!

Here are the products I am currently using that has been treating my skin like a miracle:

cleanse with morning burst cleanser by clean and clear in the morning and oxygenating fizzing cleanser at night (also by clean and clear). use cooling daily pore toner by clean and clear and do not use an astringent which will strip away natural oils and cause ur face to produce more oil than needed.

use an oil-free moisturizer with spf 15 and above for day (purpose dual moisturizer or clean and clear morning glow moisturizer). use dual action moisturizer by clean and clear for night.

use persa-gel 10 for breakouts and pimples.

and use a clay mask containing sulfur once or twice a week (more on days of breakouts). try queen helene mint julep masque. or proactive refining mask. U can also spottreat and dab on a spot of it directly on ur pimples without rubbing it in. just dab lightly! and leave it on overnight. it should become smaller, less red, less noticeable, or disapear completely the next morning.

exfoliate with the Neutrogena invigorating foaming scrub only once a week.

If u use makeup, use only oil-free and water-based foundation (but I suggest u not use foundation at all because oil-free or not, it will clog ur pores), and oil-free powder and concealer. Try getting one that contains acne-fighting ingredients (look at some Neutrogena products).

DO NOT use toothpaste or deodorant or any of those weird ';remedies';!! they are only myths and will only ruin ur skin condition even more! stick with things that are MEANT for ur face.

Also, after I washed my pillow and blankets (that I hadn鈥檛 washed for a few weeks), my skin stopped breaking out so much everytime I wake up in the morning. I realized that wherever I put my face on the pillow, I wake up the next morning with a huge red pimple right on that spot where my face was on the pillow! So wash it every week or as much as possible. And also wash ur towel. Don鈥檛 use a washcloth because it collects bacterias everytime u wipe ur face with it and it gets all over ur skin鈥?unless u wash it after every single time u use it. Instead use tissue paper, toilet paper, or paper towels to blot ur face dry.

i hope that helps! :]My skin is really oily and I get lots of zits - help!!?
use birth control pills....specifically Yasmin. It helps clear up pimples %26amp; gives you a baby soft skin on your face. Your face will never be oily or have pimples again (for as long as you take birth control pills). Report Abuse

try washing at night before bed with soap and hot water then apply noxema or a generic substitute and dont rub it in but let your skin absorb it in and leave it on all night. wash the same way in the morning and splash off with cold water. after 4 nights you will see the difference... Report Abuse

this happened to me, all you have to do is use a mild cleanser once day. if you feel the need to keep washing your face throughout the day just splash with cold water and blot dry with a towel. don't wipe because then you are removing more oils and making your sebaceous glands over work themselves.
oi, in highschool, i had hella bad acne. like, all over my face, big ones, monster ones, and tiny ones to fill in the spaces left over :-p

i eventually learned what caused a zit, though. bacteria. and also noting the oily texture of my skin, i thought of something that would get rid of the bacteria (antibacterial) and the oil/grease (dish soap) dawn dish detergeant worked perfectly for me. here's what i did:

put a small dab of the stuff on the zit and ONLY on the zit. small enough so that it will not run to other non-zit areas of your face. now, assuming you shower in the morning, do this routine at night before bed, and leave the soap on your zits overnight. it will sap out the moisture from the zits, causing them to shrink, dry up and new skin underneath it will grow rapidly, causing a slight itching. don't scratch! they will flake off in their own time--you will be able to brush them away with your fingers.

also, put the dish soap on the ''not-yet-born'' zits. you know, the painful/tender ones? this has actually kept them from ''blooming'' on my face many times, and it never fails me. yeah, ask your folks and they might freak out like mine did. if they force you to get an actual facial soap, don't despair. get a soap with a lot of triclosan in it. that's the same stuff in dawn that kills bateria, and it's also found in toothpaste, so you know it's safe. dawn was my favourite, though, since it was such a harsh soap, it really helped clear my face up.
Wash your face frequently with cold water and use a face pack of grated apple. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for oily skin at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/oilyskin.htm鈥?/a> .
don't wash it more but after you do, use Cosmedicine medi- matte. It really cuts down on oil production and reduces pore size.
i use hand soap and use doctor prescribed cream every other day. my sister told me hand soap is better becuase its less sensitive. it worked.
Appl creams nd a non oil based lotion. I read somewhere that oily skin means your skin is actually dry and your pores are trying to hydrate themselves and it results in oily skin. The problem comes in when people think they're skin is not dry because of all the oil. Wash with a crmem based cleanser, apply toner and a non oil hydrating lotion. And go see a dermatologist.
Washing your face too often will dry your skin and as a result, will stimulate your skin to produce more oil. Two times a day is enough, or three times if you've been out and really greasy. Avoid creams, use gel intead. I think you should see a dermatologist.
Wash twice a day. Do NOT overwash, that will make it worse. Get a good skincare regiman. As someone that tried everything, even a dermatologist, I can tell you that Mary Kay is worth trying. It worked for me. They have a great oil control lotion that keeps oil down all day. Plus, when you use a whole product line that is meant to work together, it will be better than using a bunch of random products.

I would also try the microdermabrasion. You do it 2-3 times a week and it was a miracle for me! It has two steps, refine and nourish. The refine exfolliates your skin removing dead cells that clog pores and make skin look dull. Also helps minimize blackheads. The nourish step feeds your skin with vitamins to promote better growing skin cells.

ALL Mary Kay products are guaranteed, so if they don't work, you aren't stuck with another set of cleansers and such that you don't like.
The more you wash your face the more your oil glands will work overtime which will cause your face to become more oily. I really recommend you getting Proactive. I have been using it for the past couple of years and it is great. It's quick and easy. It can get a little expensive ($50 a box) but you only need to use a little bit at every washing so it will last you. I truly love it.

What is a good INEXPENSIVE way to get rid of zits?

I never usually get zits but I have blackheads on my nose, sometimes on my chin and a tiny bit on my forehead. The ones on my forehead aren't very noticeable. Anyway, I sometimes get red zits and they hurt really bad. Somtimes they are on chin, sometimes zide of my face(by hairline) and sometimes on forehead. I just do not know what to do. But when I get zits they feel like they are SUPER noticeable and all my friends say they aren't. I don't know if they are trying to make me feel good or what. But whatever..anyway, I just need to find a way so I won't get them. What is a good INEXPENSIVE way to get rid of zits?
the most inexpensive way to get rid of zits

is to not drink Soda anymore, junk food or any kind of candy/sugar

trust me, you won't be wasting any money like that

    you'll save

i did this in high school and it worked but it took about four whole months to get rid of them, plus you lose a LOT of weight

my body had to get used to the change i guess

    be patient

    it really works

if you already don't drink soda and eat candy then im sorry i dont know what to tell youWhat is a good INEXPENSIVE way to get rid of zits?
You could try to make sure you don't get any hair products on your face as a start. Conditioner, hair spray, all that may cause the ones by your hair line. Then if that doesn't make them stop, I use Proactive's mask for the cystic acne (the acne that never gets a head on it) and Persa Gel for the other pimples. The mask isn't expensive in the long run b/c you only use a tiny bit each time and it lasts forever.
I actually just got Orthoderm from my doctor not two weeks ago and she said that it would work in between 2 weeks to 1 year depending on how rough your skin is, and its supposed to look like it worsens at the very beginning and peeling is normal, you just put it on every night, keep it on over night, and wash it off every morning! So far its working great, and I think its available in 3 different types. Hypoderm=heavy duty kind of cream, Orthoderm=medium kind of cream, and I cant remember the least one..... so I hope that helps
Well first of all, drink lots of water.

As much as you think it wouldnt help

    your skin out, it does.

Also get a concealer that has medication in it too.

You can get it at walmart or target and its super cheap.

All clean and clear products work good to use

in the morning and at night. super cheap !

Everyone gets breakouts, whether they clean, or not.

    so dont expect perfection !

    But yeah, hope that helped.

    Best of luckk : )
    Proactiv 'works great'

Do you know the best way to deal with single zits/pimples?

Or ones that pop up out alone (not an acne problem). I occasionally have one or two pop up on my face, and I get real self-conscious. I have tried facial cleansers as well as clearasil pads. I even use real simple solutions like popping the zit/pimple and applying rubbing alcohol or putting toothpaste on the zit or pimple to dry it up before I go to sleep and through the night. Could somebody please tell me the fastest way to get rid of these annoying things?

As long as your answer is serious, all answers are appreciated. Thank you!Do you know the best way to deal with single zits/pimples?
i have the same problem.. my solution is after washing my whole face, hold a wet hot towel on the pimple for a while then carefully pop it. not sure if it's the best solution but it's my way.. btw, does toothpaste work at all? i've never tried it for fear of making it worse :/Do you know the best way to deal with single zits/pimples?
kay well i have the same xact problem! okk well heres the fastest way to get rid of pimples over night. right before u go to sleep, rub ice on your pimple or zit. keep rubbing it for about 30-45 mins or until ur face is numb. u will see it grow, but dont worry bout it, ur pimple will grow a lil but then it will die down. when you wake up ur pimple shud be ALOT smaller then it wuz before! =] and now ur dun!

zeno works pretty well, but it's really expensive to buy one- like $200 or something. famous people just have stylists and everything to make them look perfect- it's their job and they get paid to look that way.I were wondering how do i get rid of my zits in 1 day?
there really is no ONE Day zit be gone... but there is clean and clear clearasil facial scrub or the morning burst cleanser either one will help you clear your face within the next two to three days guaranteed... hope it word out
1 day wont happen. 2 weeks will happen

wash your face with an extremely mild facial cleanser and apply astringent right after, 2 times a day, for two weeks. it'll be gone before you know it!

How to get rid of and clear up back acne zits ?

I wanted to share this with the world, I had looked online for simple answer, even my regular doctor didn't know what to say about it.

I was getting Back Acne for the last 4 months, never had it before this. Finally, found out what was causing it for me, it was from rinsing the conidtioner out of my hair last. You should wash and condition your hair first, and Wash your Back last with soap rinse well, and dry. Along with drinking plenty of water, and always making sure after a work out, you pat yourself dry (including your back). Your Back Acne will more than likely disappear! This isn't even a question. You're a noob. How to get rid of and clear up back acne zits ?
Yes this same thing happened to me! My doctor told me that I needed a low-dose antibiotic but luckily before I started taking it I read a magazine article that said to wash your back after you condition and I tried it and it worked - without the antibiotics. Thanks for informing everyone else about this!
