What are the white dots on my fish? (look like zits)?

My goldfish developed white dots on it. There are about five on it. It looks they're coming out of her scales and have little things coming off of the bump. It's a white dot that looks like a zit but it has red around the edge of the bump. (I don't think it's ich)I just noticed that my other fish has one by it's eye that must have just developed today. Please help me! What could be wrong with my fishes? What are the white dots on my fish? (look like zits)?
It has a disease. What are the white dots on my fish? (look like zits)?
i once had a goldfish who had similar dots, but they were only on his gills, i went to the fish pro and he said its because hes a male.. but i have no idea i would probably go to the petshop or ring the vet
Ooooh Noooo, your fish is sick with what is called ICK! =[

You need to get medicine...its called QuICK Cure. You can get it at any store like Walmart, and its fairly cheap. Follow directions on the bottle.

Also you need to raise the temp of the water to help kill this parasite...bring the temp to around 79 degrees or as high as your fish can handle...

Good Luck and I hope your fish feels better soon! =]
possible worm infestation, check pet store for treatment
sounds like white spots - you will need to get medicine for the fish and treat the tank before the fish dies/infects others
If its a white sand looking dots it Ick.

To solve to problem go to your local fish store, walmart, petsmart or anything. they have Ick treatment. follow the simple instruction on the bottle and your fish will be happy and healthy.

Also for future reference Get a Heater in your tank and raise it to 78 degrees or higher depending if u have tropical fish i would go as high as 80-82. Also get some aquarium salt in your tank. it will help them fight off deseases and help there gill function :).
Ich looks like someone sprinkled your fish with salt. It could be large flakes that look like pretzel salt, or smaller ones that more resemble table salt. If your fish has white bumps on it that are not fuzzy, it is probably ich. Ich is a type of parasite, you can use commercial ich cures such as Rid Ich or QuICK Cure, or use an aquarium salt treatment (Google around for that, too much to go into detail for here.)

If the spots are fuzzy, kind of like someone picked apart a cotton ball and glued it to your fish, then it's a fungus. And you will need to treat him with an antifungal. You can also pick these up from your local fish store or pet store. Try Melafix or again, you could do a treatment with aquarium salt (which again, Google for specifics).

It doesn't sound like ich to me, ich doesn't usually look like a pimple and doesn't usually have red rings. The redness is probably bleeding or some kind of irritation. It sounds like a symtom of columnaris, a common fish condition which can cause skin lesions.

Treatment varies for columnaris, but usually you can get a medicated fish food or else treat the water with an antibacterial.

Please do not put a heater in your goldfish tank. Goldfish are a coldwater fish who are happiest around 65-70 degrees.
